North Korea propaganda outlets have already stated that, if provoked, could reduce an American sea strike to wreckage. However North Korea is not backing down from full-scale nuclear war with the US either. In a recent statement from the North Korean interior ministry it was made perfectly clear that North Korea will not hesitate to use Nukes, without the slightest hesitation, in response to US nuclear threats. They have already threatened to reduce Japan and South Korea.

“Now that we possess mighty nuclear power to protect ourselves from US nuclear threat, we will respond without the slightest hesitation to full-out war with full-out war and to nuclear war with our style of nuclear strike, and we will emerge victor in the final battle with the US.”

Tensions in the region are escalating as North Korea threatened Beijing, China with “catastrophic consequences” for siding with the US in regards to nuclear sanctions and continued to threaten US naval assets conducting training operations in the Philippine Sea. Claiming the military might to sink the USS Carl Vinson in a single attack.

Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke with Donald Trump on Wednesday and urged restraint and a peaceful resolution to handling the delicate situation. According to Chinese Media President Jinping is committed to “communication and co-ordination” with Washington.
