Isaac Knutila a 16 year veteran with the Sacramento Police was arrested after a separate department tipped off the Sacramento PD to alleged prostitution and drug activity in a local hotel.

An investigation revealed that Knutila was in possession of multiple narcotics and his department issued weapon. The drugs collected at the scene included methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and over an ounce of marijuana.

Knutila was also involved in prostitution related activity. While it is unclear exactly what Knutila was doing with the hookers, whether he was a client or their “pimp” has not been disclosed.

Knutila was booked into the main Sacramento jail Friday night but was released on a $10,000 bond. Knutila is currently on paid administrative leave pending termination.

Is there another profession where you can break the law for months and expect the tax payers to foot the bill for your salary while you are investigated?

The real part of this incident that is so sad is that an officer of the law who would happily drag you to a cage for the same actions, decides he is above the law and drug use, as well as, human trafficking were actions that he can participate in without recourse.
