SPRING, TX – A cop wife said she was refused service at Kroger grocery store because she was wearing a pro-police t-shirt.

“Stating that the shirt I had on was basically a slap in the face to her, and she was doing everything she could not to cry,” the woman said.

The company released a statement, saying:

“We are disappointed and sorry to hear that this happened. We want our customers, associates and the law enforcement community to know how deeply we appreciate and honor our police officers and other first responders who put their lives on the line to keep us safe every day. We’re taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”

Of course, other cop wives and their husbands are up in arms, throwing a fit that Kroger didn’t respond sooner.

The company said it plans to interview all of the employees involved so it can figure out exactly what happened.
