An active shooter threat at CSUF is currently circulating on social media and concerning university students.
From the Fresno State Facebook page:
“1:36pm UPDATE: Fresno State has sent an email to all faculty, students, and staff.
Fresno State police are investigating a threat on social media. We will send an update on social media every 15 minutes”
“1:59pm UPDATE: Fresno State PD is interviewing a subject of interest in connection to a threat.”
“2:26pm UPDATE: The Fresno State Police Department has identified suspect & suspect’s been taken into custody. PD confident suspect was acting as an individual. More police on campus today. Thank you to all who provided information that allowed police to respond quickly. Classes remain in session.”
The threat read: “the time is here. @3PM I will release my frustrations. Tired of dirty looks, get rejected, nd being talked abt bc how I dress. My choice of weapon M$ Carbine and I will take a headshot at a hot blonde”, with a picture of the Henry Madden Library on the Fresno State campus.
