“Sandra Bland was a 28-year old social activist who was killed on July 15, 2015 in police custody at Waller County Jail, Texas, three days after being pulled over for a minor traffic violation when returning home from a job interview. Police claim she committed suicide by “self-inflicted asphyxiation”, but her friends and family say that wasn’t in her character especially considering she was days away from starting a new job. This is clearly another cover up and we must continue to demand justice for Sandra and all other victims who are murdered by police while in custody.
