A fight broke out in one of the recreation yards at Folsom prison this afternoon around 1pm. Inmates used weapons they fashioned themselves, the guards fire 2 warning shots, and used tear gas to subdue the population. In the end 1 man was dead, 5 others were so severely injured they were transported to facilities outside of the prison for treatment. More are being treated in the prisons medical treatment center. No lockdown was ordered. The deceased mans name has been withheld  until contact is made with his family.
